Dear Miss Mag
Another day has dawned, and again I find my heart the same to her who I must call dearest Mag.  I wrote you yesterday, but a monitor within moves me insensibly to the same pleasing task today.  Verily, I say unto you our destiny will be one if I am to judge from my own feelings.  Nearer, and closer, as time rolls on does thy being seem to entwine itself around my own.  Such the feelings, such the sentiments of your devoted “Mas Fess” – a feeling a sentiment not born of Earth.  From now, thence forward, (dear Mag) I will make amends for the past, I love you more than ever; for I must say, it is a sentiment that gains strength with me every day.

If nothing happened Dr. K.H. Oakman & my self will be at your happy home on Thursday night next.  We will come by private conveyance.  Bob is anxious to see you & Mrs. Glass.  He praises you both very much.  I am not certain you will get this before we come; but I hope you will.

Dear Miss Mag, I know I am not worthy of your pure & gentle heart, but one thing I will try & deserve it.  But good by for the present.  When I see you, we will talk a great deal.

I am, dear Mag, yours very truly.
                                                                                                            Stephen A Corker
